Mile Mania presented by YMCA of Muncie (October 1, 9:00 a.m.)
The Mile Mania is a race for children 13 and younger. Racers will run one mile through the Briner Sports Complex then finish on the field at Scheumann Stadium. Parents of younger participants may run/walk the course with their child at no cost. All finishers will receive a ribbon, and the top 10 boys and girls will receive special awards. A course map will be provided on race day.
All participants are invited to Charlie’s Fun Zone, an inflatable games village courtesy of the YMCA of Muncie, located in Benadum Woods north of Scheumann Stadium after the race.
All pre-registrants (deadline September 25) are guaranteed a t-shirt, and day-of registrants will receive shirts on a first come, first served basis. Football tickets are not associated with this event.
Race day check-in for Mile Mania participants will be located in Scheumann Stadium beginning at 7:30 a.m. and ending at 8:45 a.m. Parking will be available in the lot on the west side of Scheumann Stadium (free).
Special awards will be awarded by Charlie Cardinal to the schools with the highest participation rates. Cowan Elementary School has been recognized by Charlie Cardinal for their outstanding participation the past two years.
